IBM x330 Project - Pt. 4 - Closer.. but still no cigar

Well.. the battle continues. I made progress this evening. After shelving the project for a month, I decided to pull the IBM 330 off the shelf and attempt to get it set up. I pulled the heat sinks on both CPU's off. Scrapped the old, dried-up heat-transfer compound off the bottom and replaced it with nice, new compound. Everything appeared to work fine. I managed to get Ubuntu 7.04 installed and somewhat configured. I wasn't that far along before problems became apparent. To start off.. during the install there was a continuous short beep. I didn't experiences this before and looking it up in the manual it stated that it was possible an input device problem (mouse and/or keyboard). I completed the Linux install without an further incidents and then rebooted. It rebooted again before coming up for the first time after the install.

When I open a terminal window I receive the following errors, line after line... which makes it hard to type in anything on the command line.

Checked the power set-up parameters (there aren't many) and everything appears normal.. like I figured it would. I receive the same, repeating message via the command line.. whether it is a local command line or via SSH. It is getting late... and right now the system is rebooting every 3min. Off to bed... to dream of new options.
